
Anne Barry-Murphy is Director of the Edmund Rice Office and Co-Ordinator of Associates of the Presentation Brothers. She is a graduate of UCC with an MA in Irish History while she holds a Baccalaureate in Divinity from St. Patrick's College, Maynooth.
Anne has worked as College Chaplain in Third Level Institutes in England and Ireland and was also the Director of a Centre for Adult Learning in Ballymun.
In the Marino Institute of Education Anne co-ordinated a social outreach programme, The Edmund Rice Awards, for Christian Brother schools throughout the island of Ireland. The programme gradually extended to incorporate other like-minded schools.
In her role as co-ordinator of Community-based Adult Education she developed and supported groups in inner city and rural communities in the Christian Brothers network. Anne also trained as a Counsellor and is an Associate member of IACP. Anne took up her present position in 2002.
The Edmund Rice Office is located in the Edmund Rice Heritage and Study Centre in the Mardyke House in Cork city.
